Ovarian Cancer

Ovarian cancer is the formation of growth cells in the ovaries. These cells multiply rapidly and can attack and even destroy healthy body tissue. Because the initial symptoms can not be recognized, ovarian cancer is usually called the "silent killer." Symptoms in patients with ovarian cancer will appear several months before diagnosis. Low public awareness of the signs and risks of ovarian cancer is caused because the symptoms often overlap with symptoms of gastrointestinal diseases or common infections that occur in the intestine or stomach.

Until now, there is still no acceptable screening test for ovarian cancer, and less specific symptoms often lead to an incorrect diagnosis. Differences between Cervical Cancer and Ovarian Cancer
