Here are common symptoms that may indicate mental health problems.

1. Mood Changes

When experiencing such changes, it is essential to talk to someone about it. Do not be ashamed or hesitant. Try talking to your parents first, as they often notice these changes.

If parents ask, take the opportunity to share your concerns, but don't wait for them to ask. Parents can provide advice, support, and solutions, and they may even accompany you to see a psychologist or psychiatrist.

On the other hand, not all parents may be available. Therefore, an alternative is to talk to other adults, such as cousins, uncles or aunts, grandparents, mentors, or peers, or directly seek the help of mental health professionals.

Consulting with a psychologist or psychiatrist is crucial, even if you have shared your concerns with someone outside the mental health field. This is because they can diagnose mental health problems, provide treatment and medication recommendations, and offer support.
