1. Eat According to Needs

Caloric intake is related to age, where low calorie intake (not exceeding individual needs) is associated with longer life spans and a lower likelihood of disease. Not only that, by maintaining intake according to needs, excess weight and fat accumulation in the abdomen can also be avoided.

At a younger age, around 20 to 30 years old, the weight loss process will be easier. This is because as age increases, metabolism and muscle mass decrease, making it more difficult for someone to lose weight. Consult with a nutritionist to know your ideal weight and daily nutritional needs!

2. Be Physically Active

In productive ages, we often prioritize work, work, and work. One reason is for a brighter future. This makes us busy with work responsibilities, so we don't have much time for exercise. But believe me, being physically active will actually make your body feel better.

Work will be more efficient, sleep will be more restful, and you will be able to do many things without quickly running out of energy. Try to allocate time, at least 30 minutes a day without sacrificing other important things, to do active movements. Start with the easiest ones to do, then increase the intensity over time.

3. Avoid Smoking and Reduce Alcohol

It seems like everyone knows that smoking increases the risk of disease, but this habit can also cause premature aging. If the body is not in good condition, the risk of early death will also increase. In addition to cigarettes, alcohol should also be limited.

4. Prioritize Happiness

Feeling happiness continuously can increase longevity. There have been many studies proving it, where people who are happier experience a decrease in early death compared to those who are less or not happy. So, make sure you know what the source of your happiness is, besides money!

5. Manage Stress

Contrary to happiness, anxiety and stress can significantly reduce lifespan. This is because prolonged stress or anxiety makes a person vulnerable to heart disease, stroke, or lung cancer. Focus on positive things and make yourself happier.

6. Maintain Your Circle

Maintain your inner circle. Maintaining a healthy social circle can help you increase your chances of survival. Building close relationships only with a small group can help you reduce stress, get endless support, and give you many new insights in life.

7. Maintain Sleep Cycles

Sleep is a bodily need and is a healthy habit. While young, try to have a good sleep cycle or schedule. Not only that, make sure you get enough sleep, at least 6-8 hours a day. Lack of sleep can impact stress levels, compulsive eating patterns, productivity, and how much you enjoy life.

8. Work-Life Balance is the Key to Longevity

If you're in your 30s, maybe your career is at its peak. Every day is filled with work. However, there is also a possibility for you to build relationships, get married, and have children. For longevity, both aspects must be balanced.

Take time to sit and contemplate. Ask yourself. Is everything balanced? Is it still leaning towards one side? Are there any specific changes needed to make both equal? Success in achieving work-life balance will significantly impact your life.

For a longer life, there are strategies you can implement to achieve it. What are they? Starting from eating according to daily nutritional needs (while maintaining an ideal weight), being physically active, avoiding smoking and alcohol, prioritizing happiness, managing stress, maintaining inner circles, maintaining sleep cycles, and achieving work-life balance.
